Coldstream Hills prides itself for having access to many of the best vineyards in the Yarra Valley. These sites are found throughout the upper and lower Yarra Valley with each vineyard providing a range of unique characteristics to the wines. Back in the late 1980s, James Halliday introduced single vineyard wines to Coldstream Hills demonstrating their unique styles. The tradition has continued with the release of the Single Vineyard range.
Coldstream Hills Deer Farm Pinot Noir is beautifully framed and layered, with great length and a silky tannin finish. With characters of wild raspberry, sour cherry and hints of blue fruits interwoven with mineral graphite and subtle French oak. True to style from an excellent vintage.
NOSE - Brooding, complex and powerful with blood plum, sour cherry and notes of raspberry coulis enhanced by hints of whole bunch spice, mineral wet stone and seamless oak.
PALATE - Expansive and layered with characters of wild raspberry, sour cherry and hints of blue fruits interwoven with mineral graphite and subtle French oak. Whole bunch sandalwood spice offers complexity and complements the palate’s fine chalky tannin finish.
