2024 Coldstream Hills Beenak Vineyard Chardonnay

Coldstream Hills prides itself for having access to many of the best vineyards in the Yarra Valley. These sites are found throughout the upper and lower Yarra Valley with each vineyard providing a range of unique characteristics to the wines. Back in the late 1980s, James Halliday introduced single vineyard wines to Coldstream Hills demonstrating their unique sense of place. The tradition has continued with the release of the Single Vineyard range. The 2024 vintage is our second release from the Beenak Vineyard, located in the cool south-eastern corner of the Yarra Valley.

NOSE - Restrained, yet expressive, with lemon pith and lime, white florals and underlying mineral and nougat notes. Seamless oak is beautifully integrated adding complexity and spice.

PALATE - Vibrant and pure with lemon pith and lime, white florals and a subtle mineral thread. Layered and complex with nuances of nougat and oak, finishing with fine chalky phenolics and crystalline acidity.

FOOD MATCH - White meat, smoked salmon, creamy pasta dishes.
