2015 Leo Buring Leopold Riesling

Since 1945 Leo Buring has established a reputation as Australia’s foremost maker of Riesling. At Leo Buring we only make Riesling. The 2015 vintage at White Hills Vineyard was characterised by a return to very cool growing conditions and a long ripening window. This resulted in a late harvest date, high levels of natural acidity at optimum maturity and exceptionally expressive varietal characteristics that will reward the careful cellaring

Pale straw In colour with a complex nose of green apple, custard tart and dried herb and spice. The palate is exceptionally long with flavours of white peach, nectarine and hints of brown lime all encased in a fine elegant and moreish acid structure. A vibrant wine in its youth that will reward carefully cellaring for 10-20 years.
